Are you a Print or Digital Designer currently working in a Graphic Design job? Do you feel on edge about presenting your final creative concept to a client? Have you heard the saying “If a thing is worth doing then it’s worth doing well”?

Here are a few tips on how to ace your presentation:

  • Present your work using presentation mock ups applied to product packaging, business cards, a mobile phone or tablet; this will help captivate the client by giving them the real look and feel of their brand.
  • It’s good to demonstrate your work but don’t show too many samples, show them “your best designs”, don’t present anything that you’re on the fence about. Presenting a maximum of 5 options will keep the clients eager and feel unpunished for having to review them.
  • As a designer, it’s paramount to take your clients along your journey. Explain to them how you came up with the creative ideas and why you believe it works well with their brand. This allows your clients to see your dynamic thought process behind the idea and should make it easier for them to come up with a decision and potentially keep you in mind for future projects.
  • Don’t feel disheartened if clients don’t approve your work, take on board the criticism but always own your work and be proud of the hard work you put into it.
