Middleweight UI Designer / Borough Market / £35 - £45K

About you
As a UI Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning and user-friendly digital interfaces for web and mobile applications. You will work closely with their clients, client relationship managers and development team to understand their requirements and translate them into engaging and functional UI designs. You will also be responsible for creating wireframes, prototypes, and mockups, conducting usability testing and providing feedback on user experience (UX) and design improvements. You will be working in a creative team of designers and developers to ensure that the final solution meets with the client's strategic requirements.

Keeps up to date with contemporary design, usability trends and emerging technologies

Pushes creative thinking beyond the conventional to develop engaging interactive experiences
A collaborative mindset and experienced in both delivering your own projects and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills with colleagues and clients
Comfortable leading design end-to-end, from ideation through to development hand over
Understands and respects brand guidelines and client requirements
Naturally curious with a passion for learning & improvement (and doesn’t take themselves or life too seriously)
Confident in planning & prioritising your workload to remain organised in a dynamic work environment
A flexible attitude with experience of working in an agency environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
Minimum 3 years’ experience of UI design essential
Your skillset
Digital-first thinker
Evidence of exceptional digital solutions for a variety of clients and applications, including: websites, tools, e-marketing, apps, social media and brand campaigns
Proven experience in producing innovative digital experiences in financial services
Understanding of responsive design, frameworks and app design for designing at various screen sizes and devices.
Proficient in digital design tools, such as Sketch, Adobe CC suite, Figma, Axure, Jira and InVision.
A strong understanding of user research, behaviours & testing
Awareness of the entire UX design journey, from producing user journeys, wireframes to then deliver ready-to-build visual designs and prototypes
A strong eye for typography, composition, colour theory, iconography, and interaction design.
A coherent understanding of web capabilities including HTML, CSS, and Javascript
Collaborating seamlessly with development team to ensure build matches design.
Animation/motion/illustration skills would be a welcome bonus.
